BY USING A DEPOSIT MACHINE, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS BELOW: 

This service is available for deposits into corporate accounts only

 1. How to deposit cash/cheques

(a) Cash/coins and cheques must be in Euro ONLY.

(b) The deposit account number must also be in Euro ONLY.

(c) The maximum amount per envelope is €9,999 in cash. For coins, the value must not exceed €20.

(d) Cheques must be issued by credit institutions, or their subsidiaries located in Cyprus.

(e) Deposits are allowed for the following types of corporate accounts - Sight, Direct Access, Current, and Factors.

2. Cash deposits - processing date:

(a) If the envelope is inserted into the machine before 11am, the deposit is considered to have been received on the same day and its processing will take place on the same day. The Bank will make the amount available within the same working day as of the insertion into the machine, with the corresponding value date.

 (b) If the envelope is inserted into the machine after 11am, the deposit is considered to have been carried out - and the amount considered to have been received by the Bank - on the very next working day after the date of insertion. The Bank will make the amount available within the next working day as of the insertion into the machine, with the corresponding value date.

 3. Discrepancies during checks/counting of the cash

(a) If during the check of the deposit by the Bank or on behalf of the Bank, it is determined that the deposit amount differs from the amount declared by the depositor, the account holder and the depositor (if different) cannot challenge the check/counting of the amount as carried out by the Bank or on behalf of the Bank, and they shall be obliged (jointly and separately) to cover the difference or to acknowledge the transaction.

(b) If the account holder does not agree with the check/counting as carried out by the Bank or on behalf of the Bank, the Bank may permit the account holder, if the company so wishes, to watch a visual recording of the check/counting, provided that the account holder has so requested within 25 days of the date of deposit of the envelope. In such a case, the account holder will be charged a €50 fee. It is noted that the Bank is not obliged to record or to keep an image archive, nor obligated to allow the watching of any such recording.

4. Cheque deposits

Cheques are checked to ensure they were correctly issued and are credited provisionally until they are cleared.

 5. General

(a) The Bank may refuse cash and/or cheque deposits if it has reason to doubt the legitimacy of the provenance of the moneys and/or cheques deposited, in compliance with the provisions of the Money Laundering Law.

(b)If during the depositing of cash, the Bank tracks sham or potentially counterfeit notes or coins, the Bank will retain these notes/coins, in compliance with its legal obligations, will not return these notes/coins to the depositor or the account holder, and the Bank will not in any way compensate the depositor or the account holder.

(d) The Bank's process relating to the submission and examination of complaints is available at Bank branches and on the Bank's website: www.bankofcyprus.com

(e) These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of the Republic have jurisdiction over resolving any disputes.
