We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our virtualization infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

- Develops, tests, installs, configures, and troubleshoots infrastructure hardware and software relevant to his/her area of responsibility.
- Creates, updates, and maintains documentation, diagrams and other detailed instructions relevant to his/her area of responsibility.
- Installs, updates and maintains hardware and software to the latest releases, patches, etc., relevant to his/her area of responsibility.
- Implements, operates, maintains, and manages infrastructure components and services relevant to his/her area of responsibility.
- Implements security and/or management tools and practices across infrastructure components and services, relevant to his/her area of responsibility.
- Performs design and analysis for new solutions and technologies, relevant to his / her area of responsibility.
- Designs and tests recovery procedures for the components under his/her responsibility and ensures that data and configurations are backed up based on the backup and recovery policy, including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity scenarios.
- Ensures that logs of servers, systems, appliances, services, and other components, are recorded, maintained, and analyzed for problem resolution, capacity planning, and/or any other related activity.
- Investigates, diagnoses and resolves technical issues relevant to his / her area of responsibility, within the set and agreed SLAs.
- Provides onsite or remote third level support relevant to his/her area of responsibility, within the set framework and agreed SLAs.
- Escalates issues to his/her Senior Engineer and/or Unit Area Manager where necessary in due time.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related Engineering field.
- 3 + years of relevant industry, field experience preferably in the Banking industry or in a large organization.
- Experience with Swift related products and IBM Message Queuing will be considered as an advantage
- Significant knowledge of technologies, solutions and trends and deep interest in keeping up to date with technological developments.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure architectures, technology and service-oriented practices.
- Expertise in developing and implementing technical standards and policies.
- Knowledge of IT and Information Security regulatory requirements for the Banking industry or for a large organization.
- Solid knowledge and working experience of Microsoft server products including clustering, virtualization, firewalling, encryption protocols and backup solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage time, workload and multiple tasks.
- Team player with strong collaborative skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
