We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to become part of our high-performance SRE & Cloud Platform team at the Bank of Cyprus.

- Ensures the availability, performance, security and compliance with Bank’s policies for all applications under responsibility.
- Develops and maintains cloud-native solutions in accordance with Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Writes Infrastructure as Code and automation scripts to handle day-to-day work, standardize service delivery and meet Bank policy requirements.
- Maintains high standards of code quality, documentation and thoughtful design.
- Creates monitoring, alerting, and reporting processes that help proactively flag issues and trends and deploy remediations without manual intervention.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Master’s degree in any of the above subjects will be considered as an advantage.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate exam (Exam AZ-104), or
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate – Professional exam (SAA-C03)

- At least two years of hands-on experience administering Kubernetes in mission critical production environments (preferably Red Hat OpenShift v4).
- At least two years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure or AWS production environments with Terraform.
- Advanced working experience of Linux administration and networking.
- Experience with monitoring and logging with tools such as the Elastic stack, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
- Experience working with DevOps processes, CI/CD, GitOps and containerization.
- Strong understanding of core Azure and/or AWS services, networking, security, and governance.
- Strong understanding of computer networking, protocols and concepts.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, GitOps and tools like ArgoCD, Jenkins, Gitlab CI.
- Solid understanding of operating systems, servers, containerization and virtualization technologies.
- Solid understanding of service reliability principles such as SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs.
- Solid knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Comfortable working with state-of-the-art technologies. Hands-on Research & Development (R&D) experience (either academic or industrial) will be highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage time, workload and multiple tasks.
- Team player with strong collaborative skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
