Head of Business Development (Ref: 799)

We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to join our dynamic Cards team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the card’s business growth strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance the promotion of our cards product and make a significant impact in a highly dynamic sector. You will be responsible for understanding and following the global and local markets, executing the Bank’s cards marketing plan, identifying new business collaborations, and fostering strong relationships with several stakeholders ranging from clients to partners. You will lead a team to enhance the Bank’s reward scheme, analyze market trends, and ensure the offerings remain competitive and appealing.

    • Follow market trends; assess competitive dynamics and advancements in customer behaviour, digital marketing, digital experiences and technology. Work closely with other departments of the Bank to explore innovative technologies and how to best deploy them within the BOC portfolio.
    • Execute the cards annual marketing plan in collaboration with other key stakeholders (internal and external).
    • Prepare and present to senior management the performance of the campaigns. Work closely with the data analysts to ensure a data-driven approach to the business development and sales process.
    • Work closely with the global leaders in card payments and networks to launch new revamped campaigns.
    • Lead the Antamivi Programme, the most successful cards rewards programme of the island. Engage with the largest merchants on the island to secure co-operation and drive change, with a data-driven approach.
    • Collaborate with high profile partners that are key stakeholders to the island.
    • Work closely, guide and monitor sales by making presentations, providing updates, and organising data and campaigns to drive results.
    • Lead, develop and market other offerings of the card product such as the travel insurance product with an ability to perform effective and insightful market analysis.
    • Oversee the performance of the function and report performance to relevant leadership committees with an ability to drive senior management communication.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Public Relations or related to the role field.
    • 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably in fintech, banking or tech startups.
    • Background in performance marketing will be highly valued.
    • Experience in high-growth, data driven environments will be considered a strong advantage.
    • Experience in project management will be considered as an advantage.
    • Experience in leading teams and managing people.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to deliver multiple projects under pressure.
    • Ability to take initiative and make decisions.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication in both Greek & English.
