Carbon Neutral in Own Operations
The Group has estimated the Scope 1 (Mobile Combustion, Stationary Combustion and Fugitive Emissions) and Scope 2 GHG emissions of 2021 relating to own operations in order to set the baseline for carbon neutrality target in own operations, given this was the year the Group’s decarbonisation efforts were initiated. For the Group to meet the carbon neutrality target by 2050, the Group has set an interim target to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% (absolute target) by 2030. The Group’s decarbonisation efforts lead to the reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 3,431 tCO2e in 2024 compared to 2021 which represents c.25% reduction.

Optimizing Energy Performance in Major Data Centers
As part of our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence, we have implemented ISO 50001 standards across our major Data Centre’s to enhance energy efficiency, reduce consumption and lower carbon emissions. Through continuous monitoring, optimisation, and strategic energy management, we have achieved significant energy savings and a measurable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
In reference to the 2015 baseline year, the Bank achieved a 26.2% reduction in annual energy consumption by 2024, resulting in total savings of 1,257,482 kWh. Additionally, greenhouse gas emissions from both major data centres were reduced by 27.75%. These results reflect our continued commitment to environmental sustainability and align with our broader objectives, underscoring our dedication to responsible energy management and reducing our climate impact.
