FANEROMENI23 Arts Festival
at Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation
For one more year, Culture will be brought to life at the courtyard of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation in Faneromeni, where a beautiful Arts Festival will take place, inviting us to enjoy dance performances, concerts and films under the summer sky full of stars.
With a unique combination of arts, following the paths that take us on a journey between tradition and modern times, demonstrating the Cultural Heritage of the Courtyard, the Faneromeni23 Arts Festival welcomes visitors of all ages at the Foundation`s courtyard from 22 June to mid-September.
The series of the summer events begins with the concert "Thalassa mou esi...", producer and artistic director – Christos Philippou, on Thursday 22 June. The duo of performers are the Greek mezzo-soprano Betty Harlafti and the young and talented Cypriot singer Frederiki Tombazou who, together with a group of virtuoso musicians, will set sail for an exclusive musical journey to historic Mediterranean ports.
On 29 June, the musical performance "Colours of the Soul" will take place, which is a live performance of original compositions by Chrysanthi Schiza in collaboration with contemporary Cypriot poets and lyricists. There will also be performances of traditional Cypriot songs in original arrangements and recitations of traditional poems.
On 13 July, the artistic group of the pianist Manolis Neophytou will offer us a tour of the traditional music of Cyprus and various regions of Greece with arrangements for two pianos, lute, renaissance lute, violin, percussion and voice with the musical performance "From West to East".
The music group Rebetiki FaTrias, always remaining faithful to the metaphor of sound and lyrics, on Thursday 27 July, with the music and dance performance "I want songs to tell you, purposes to dance for you"will highlight the common points of the musical tradition of Cyprus, Greece & Asia Minor where the peoples have coexisted in common cultural interaction through years.
The curtain of the Festival will close on 14 September with the performance "Daughter, sister, mother, grandmother", a starting point in the musical tradition of our country, considering the important contribution of women in its preservation of our cultural heritage and transmission.
For another year the courtyard of the Cultural Foundation is transformed into an open-air summer cinema for viewers of all ages, with a series of screenings in collaboration with the Friends of Cinema Society. The films that will be screened this year are: "AINBO: Amazon Princess " (06/7), "Ticket to Paradise " (3/8), "Pil's adventure" (31/8) and "Top Gun Maverick" (7/9).
Note that on the evenings of the Faneromeni23 Festival, the museums and exhibitions of the Cultural Foundation will remain open until midnight.
All events will take place with observation of all necessary protection measures for the health and safety of visitors and staff, and are accessible to disabled groups.
Events start at 8.30 p.m., with entrance doors opening at 8 p.m.
Children's cinema screenings start at 8 p.m.

During the events, photos and/or videos will be taken. The pictures of visitors of the events may be used for promotional purposes or may be provided to the media or uploaded on the Internet. By attending the events, the public automatically gives to the organizers the right to use the photos/videos taken.
